Foot Zone Therapy

Foot Zone Therapy is a healing modality that uses the energy signals of the body to help reset the persons physical, mental, emotional and spiritual areas.

“Foot Zone Therapy is precise, directed pressure to the various “zones” of the feet. The Zone Therapy practitioner observes the foot and interprets the “messages’ it conveys through discoloration, texture and tenderness.

When a signal point is triggered within a certain zone, a message goes to the tissue or organ effected, through a reflex arc to the spinal cord and then to the brain. Discomfort is experienced in the areas of imbalance–areas where healing is needed.

Zone Therapy stimulates every organ and renews the cell system in each treatment. Zone Therapy is a holistic approach which recognizes that all of the body’s cells and organs make up a complex and interactive organism.”

In a nutshell it resets the systems of the body on a cellular level and heals them in a holistic way.

My top eight tips for loving your feet

  1. Wear shoes that fit properly. Shoes are so important and wearing a shoe is a bad fit will hurt your feet over time. Sizes vary and you should try on all shoes and they should fit in the store, not have to be broken in. If you purchase shoes online, send them back until you get the right fit.
  2. Cut toenails straight across. This will help you avoid ingrown toenails.
  3. Keep your feet clean. Just make a practice of cleaning your feet everyday. This will allow you to inspect your feet for any unusual skin discoloration or hot spots (rubbed areas that will cause blisters).
  4. Pedicures. I love to have my feet done but inexpensive pedicures can be toxic to your body and will absorb through the feet. Make sure you wash your feet after with a non-toxic product.
  5. Soak Sore Feet. If your feet are very sore you can soak them in Epsom salt and a essential oil of your choice. Just make sure after you soak them you dry them thoroughly.
  6. Go Barefoot. Even just in your own home it will give your feet a chance to stretch out and relax.
  7. Put them up. Raising you feet above your heart will help if they are bloated or just feel tired.
  8. Spread and pull your toes. They are connected to your eyes ears and brain and can relax tired eyes and sinuses.
  9. Foot Rub. Feet love to be touched. If you don’t have the resources to get a professional foot treatment, get a loved one to rub your feet or do them yourself.
